Meet Dr. Aoua Coulibaly

Our Dentist Dr. C
Dr. Coulibaly, affectionately known as “Dr. C.”, graduated from Howard University College of Arts and Sciences with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science. She then conducted three years of genetic research at the National Human Genome Center prior to attending Howard University College of Dentistry. Upon graduation from Dental School in 2008 with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery, she completed a one-year General Practice residency in Dentistry at the University of Massachusetts.
Dr Coulibaly is highly skilled in most aspects of general dentistry and is especially valued for her expertise with sedation dentistry. She received advanced training in Oral conscious sedation and IV sedation. This type of sedation referred to as “twilight or dream sleep” allows her to treat the most anxious/ fearful patients while in their most relaxed and comfortable state and still maintain consciousness.
Taking a lead in orthodontic treatment at the Sharp Smile Center, Dr. C. specializes in SureSmile Clear Aligner therapy to correct mild-to-moderate misalignment, crowding, and spacing.
