Consultation

Our practice uses all-digital technology to make your diagnosis and treatment much more accurate and efficient. When you arrive for your consultation with the dentist, we examine your teeth and take detailed digital x-rays to assess your oral health. We can then determine if you are in need of a crown and discuss your treatment options.

Tooth Prep

First, we will resolve the issue with your tooth through a treatment such as a root canal . To ensure your comfort, we first numb the area with a local anesthetic and administer sedation upon request. Next, the tooth will be further reduced to accommodate the crown.

Impressions

Next, we take precise digital impressions of your teeth. Instead of placing a temporary crown while your permanent restoration is manufactured at a lab, the designs are sent to our in-house technology to be milled from either standard porcelain or e.max.

Permanent Crown Placement

In about an hour, your permanent crown will be ready - there is no need for a temporary crown using this method. Our dentist will attach the crown to your tooth using a strong adhesive. He will use a curing light to harden the bonding material and ensure long-lasting results. You can expect the result to look just like a natural tooth.

One Streamlined Procedure

Once the tooth is treated and reshaped, we will begin crafting your custom crown using CEREC technology.

The Cost of Treatment

The cost of dental crown treatment at our Kalamazoo, MI, practice ranges from $1,300 to $1,600.
