Meet Dr. Mike Perna

Dr. Mike Perna is elated to be part of the Sharp Smile Family! Dr. Perna became a dentist with the goal of changing patients’ lives. He is also exceedingly passionate about the endless learning opportunities that dentistry provides. Whether it’s a routine filling or a comprehensive case,

Dr. Perna believes in life-long learning and clinical excellence. Dr. Perna graduated with honors from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry in 2019, and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national honor society. He furthered his education with the completion of a General Practice Residency at Illinois Masonic hospital in Chicago the following year. He takes hundreds of hours of continuing education each year in sedation dentistry, implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and more!

In his spare time, Dr. Perna enjoys playing chess, cooking, and staying fit. You may find him hiking a trail with his wife in the summertime with their dog!
