Karen married her husband, Dave, the same year she started at Sharp Smile Center and has been happily married since. She is a dedicated and wonderful mom with two beautiful children: Abby, who was born in 1999, and Nick, who was born in 2003. Her interests include spending time with her family, traveling, swimming, and just spending time outdoors in the summer. She is very excited about being an empty nester as her youngest is now in college. When you walk through our doors you can count on Karen to greet you warmly and take extra good care of you!

Prior to entering the world of dentistry, Jennifer taught middle and high school science for a small private school in Otsego. When that school closed, she decided to change careers and has never looked back!

A Western Michigan University graduate, she has been married for 32 years and has 6 children. As an avid lover-of-the-outdoors, she relishes the multitude of beautiful trails and the slower-paced life that West Michigan has to offer.

Outside of the office, Jennifer loves spending time with her family, cooking, and watching her children participate in various sports; she also enjoys lifting weights, staying physically active and researching ways to optimize nutrition.  

Her favorite thing about working at the Sharp Smile Center is using her teaching background to help our patients feel less anxious and better understand their individual treatment needs.

Born in Paw Paw and raised in Kalamazoo, Lisa has well-rounded dental background. She started her dental career as an assistant in the United States Air Force in 1986 and eventually gravitated to the Business Office. Having worked for Delta Dental and Sun Life Insurance Companies, Lisa learned the other side of dentistry. Lisa has utilized her dental skills all over the country and abroad and is excited to become a “Sharpie” at the Sharp Smile Center. As the insurance coordinator, you rarely see her, but she is diligently working behind the scenes in the office.

Lisa has one grown daughter, Brittany, a “son-in-love”, Clayton, NS a grand doggie, Hunter. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys travel, eating, working out, reading, and rediscovering this great state of Michigan.

Bree was born and raised in Hillsdale, MI. After graduating from Hillsdale High School in 2014, she moved to Kalamazoo to pursue a career in dental hygiene.  Bree graduated from Kalamazoo Valley Community College in 2018 and is now a proud, hard-working Registered Dental Hygienist. Aside from earning her degree and license, she is certified in nitrous oxide and local anesthesia delivery.  Her passion is to help patients feel comfortable at their visits while working together as a team to reach goals. We welcome her ambition to learn and grow, both personally and professionally, at Sharp Smile Center! 

Her two dogs and three cats keep Bree very entertained at home. She enjoys caring for them and playing with them every day. In her free time, Bree loves to spend time with her family and friends.

Jessica graduated from Lake Michigan College in 2008, earning a degree as a Registered Dental Assistant.  She brings advanced training and experience and is qualified to perform the most advanced procedures as a dental assistant.  She became interested in dentistry at the young age of eight when she was riding in the back of her father’s truck and was exposed to carbon monoxide poisoning.  She ended up hitting her mouth and knocking out several teeth on the concrete from dizziness.   Because of many visits to the dental office and this early childhood experience, she became very interested in helping others with all their dental needs.

Jessica was born, raised and currently resides in Hartford, MI.  In 2009 she married her husband, Matt.  Jessica and her husband have 2 children, Grayson (2012) and Avery (2015).  Together they have a chocolate lab, named Hank and 2 rescue kittens named Benny and Raven. 

Jessica is happy to be part of the Sharp Smile Center team, and we’re sure you will find her to be helpful, compassionate and caring.

Brianna graduated in 2023 from Kalamazoo Valley Community College and is eager to apply her knowledge and skills to provide exceptional dental hygiene care. With a gentle touch, friendly demeanor and empathetic approach, Brianna strives to create a comfortable and relaxing environment for each patient. She believes in the power of empathy and takes time to understand each patient's unique needs and concerns. She listens attentively, provides reassurance and offers personalized care that is tailored to our patient’s specific needs. Along with being a registered dental hygienist, Brianna is licensed in nitrous oxide and local anesthetic. In her free time Brianna enjoys spending time on the lake or with her Neapolitan Mastiff, Frankie.

Amber is a native to Michigan, having lived in Grand Rapids for 20 years. She relocated to Indiana for 10 years, where she completed her associates degree in dental assisting and that began her love of dentistry. Since 2015, Amber has built on her expertise as a dental assistant and taken on a variety of roles at the front desk. In more recent years, Amber and her husband have relocated back home to Michigan. They have three fur babies including a silver lab named Molly and two black and white cats named Bandit and Felix. It’s an understatement to say that Amber is a huge animal lover. In fact, one day, she hopes to have mini highland cows! Other passions of Ambers include reading books and crafts including crochet, quilling, resin pouring and playing with her Cricut.

Megan joins Sharp Smile Center with experience in both the dental and medical fields. She has previously worked as a Dental Assistant in both Oral Surgery and Periodontics and assisted patients at a local hospital as both a Certified Nursing Assistant and a Front Office Staff Member. Her previous experience has enabled her to have a greater understanding of dental procedures and insurance, helping her to better serve our patients.

When she is not working, Megan and her husband keep busy with their daughter's sporting and school events. She also enjoys spending time doing arts and crafts projects like coloring books and candle making.
